The Winning Combination — Mind, Body and Nutrition for the Golfer Who Wants to Play Their Best

This is the third post in a trilogy. If you haven't read the first two, here's the short version: in Part 1 I told you how a range of high-quality nutritional supplements woke up my cells and gave me something I had never had before: real goals and a genuine desire to live my best life. In Part 2 I shared how I used PSYCH-K® to programme my golf swing directly into my subconscious mind, silencing the inner critic and letting my body do what it already knew how to do. This third post brings it all together and it contains an offer for you.
But first, let me tell you what I have learned.
The three pillars of extraordinary performance
Golf, like any sport, like any skill, is not just physical. Every golfer knows this. You can have the most technically correct swing in the world and still stand over the ball with your mind racing, your grip tightening, your body doing the opposite of what your coach told you to do. Every golfer has stood on a tee feeling like a completely different player from the one who was hitting beautifully on the practice range ten minutes earlier. I have even met a successful banker on the driving range who shared with me in a conversation that as soon as he stands on the first tee he feels like that little school boy again, and he can't shift that lack of confidence however much he tries!
What separates a good golfer from a great one is rarely just technique. It is the ability to bring the whole of yourself to the game, your body, your mind and the fuel that powers both.
Over the past several months, I have been discovering through my own experience, sometimes quite dramatically, what happens when all three of those elements are properly supported at the same time. And the results have genuinely surprised me.
The three pillars are simple:
🌿 A well-nourished body: cells that are energised, muscles that are supported, a mind that is clear and focused from the inside out.
🌿 A trained subconscious: a mental game that works for you rather than against you, where your coach's instructions have been translated into the language your body actually understands.
🌿 Consistent, joyful practice: repetition that builds muscle memory, guided by a mind that is already primed to succeed.
Take any one of these away and the other two are working harder than they need to. Combine all three, and something remarkable becomes possible.
The foundation for it all is my latest learning: your body absolutely comes first.
Before we talk about golf specifically, I want to say something that applies to every human being reading this, golfer or not.
You cannot perform at your best when your body is depleted. This sounds obvious, and yet most of us are walking around in a state of nutritional deficit that we have simply accepted as normal, because we have never known anything different. I was one of them. For fifty-four years.
The shift I experienced when I began taking these high-quality nutritional supplements, and which I described in detail in Part 1, was not a small adjustment. It was a fundamental change in how my body felt to inhabit. The energy, the clarity, the ease of waking up each morning. These things don't just make life more enjoyable. They make performance possible.
For any golfer who wants to play their best, I would recommend starting with what I call the foundation, the 'Golden Basic Supply'. It brings together three core supplements that between them cover what most of our modern diets simply cannot provide on their own.
The first is a comprehensive daily nutritional base: a wide-spectrum blend of vitamins, minerals, fibre, phytonutrients from fruits and vegetables, herbs, antioxidants, prebiotics and probiotics, all mixed into your favourite drink once a day.
The second is a powerful plant-based antioxidant that actively supports collagen and elastin throughout the body, which means joints, tendons, blood vessels and muscles. For a golfer who wants to stay fit, flexible and injury-free, that matters enormously.
The third is an omega-3 and Vitamin D combination: for brain function, heart health, joint health, mood and focus. Particularly relevant for those of us playing outdoors in the British grey, where so many of us are Vitamin D-deficient without even knowing it.
This is the base. This is what keeps your body capable of performing, recovering and showing up again tomorrow.
If you want to know exactly what I take and where to find it, reach out to me and I'll walk you through it.
As with all supplements, please consult your doctor before taking them, especially if you are on medication. I share my own experience only and I make no health claims.
On the course: performance nutrition
Now let's talk about what I have discovered specifically for athletic performance, and here I want to be completely transparent with you.
I have been building my supplement routine gradually, and I am not yet personally using the full performance range on a daily basis. What I have tried is the post-workout amino complex, which I use after my driving range sessions, and a chocolate nutrition bar that I genuinely enjoyed as an on-course snack. What I know about the rest of the range comes from the science behind the products, from the athletes who use them, and from my conversations with people whose results I have seen firsthand.
I share this because authenticity matters to me more than a polished sales pitch. But I also want to tell you what these products are designed to do, because the science is genuinely impressive, and the results I am seeing in others are real.
The performance range is designed to work together across your training or round, and it covers every stage:
🏌️♀️ Your pre-round preparation: taken about 30 minutes before you tee off, it supports energy, focus, muscle power and endurance simultaneously. Both the physical and the mental game, all before you've taken your first swing.
🏌️♀️ Your during-round companion: available in convenient sachets that slip perfectly into your golf bag. It keeps blood sugar stable with a low-glycemic blend (no energy spikes, no crashes), replenishes all key electrolytes to prevent cramps and sustain performance across all 18 holes, and supports mental focus right through to the final putt. This is the one that keeps you playing as well on the 18th as you did on the 1st.
🏌️♀️ Your recovery drink: taken within 30 minutes of finishing your round. A complete amino acid complex that signals your muscles to repair and rebuild, so that the practice you did today actually makes you stronger for tomorrow. The 20-40 minutes after exercise is the golden window, and this product is designed specifically for that.
🏌️♀️ Pure whey protein isolate from grass-fed cows, for muscle maintenance and strength building. Particularly valuable if you are building your game over time and want to develop real physical strength alongside your technique.
🍫 And the chocolate nutrition bar: natural carbohydrates, protein, fibre, B vitamins and magnesium, with no artificial sweeteners or trans fats. Keep one in your bag for the turn. Your body and your back nine will thank you. A product choice I noticed with considerable interest when I saw that a professional golfer with her sights set on the Ladies European Tour uses it to fuel her game.
One important note for competitive golfers and athletes of any level: the full performance range is registered with the Informed Sport Programme, a globally recognised quality assurance programme for sports nutrition that tests products for banned substances and guarantees the quality and integrity of every product. Additionally, an impressive range of the core and performance supplements are listed on the Cologne List, independently tested and certified as doping-safe. You can verify this yourself on the Cologne List website - just get in touch with me and I'll tell you exactly what to search for. If you compete, you can use these products with complete peace of mind.
The nutrition range I use is backed by a remarkable community of world-class athletes who use these products as part of their own performance nutrition. Two of the most prominent names will give you a sense of the level we are talking about.
Christian Taylor is an American triple jump specialist, a two-time Olympic champion (London 2012 and Rio 2016), four-time World Champion, and holder of the second longest triple jump in history.
James Ellington is a British sprinter (100m and 200m) who represented Team GB at both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics, and is a European champion in the 4x100m relay. In 2017 he suffered a devastating motorcycle accident that broke both legs and his pelvis and his road back to elite sport is a story of extraordinary resilience.
There is also Iris Schmidbauer, the first ever European cliff diving champion, and Georgina Blackman, a professional golfer with the Ladies European Tour in her sights - a face I will definitely be looking to connect with!
If you want to find out more about who uses these products and why, get in touch with me and I'll share it all with you.
The mental game: what PSYCH-K® does that nothing else can
I described the PSYCH-K® golf method in detail in Part 2, so I won't repeat it all here. But I want to address something directly, because I think it is the most important thing I can say to any golfer reading this.
Your coach is giving you the right instructions. You probably already know what you need to do. The gap - the maddening, persistent gap between knowing and doing - is not a technique problem. It is a communication problem. Your conscious mind (Self 1, as Timothy Gallwey calls it) has heard the instruction. But your subconscious mind (Self 2, the one that actually swings the club) has not received it in a language it understands.
That is precisely what a PSYCH-K® balance does. In a session of just a few minutes, we translate your coach's instruction, whatever it is, in whatever language makes sense to your body, into a goal statement that your subconscious can accept and act upon. From that point, your practice builds muscle memory with your subconscious mind rather than despite it.
And I want to be clear about something important: I do not need to be a golf coach to offer this work. You bring the coaching. Your coach has already done the analysis! They know your swing, they know what needs to change, and they know what they keep telling you that you keep not being able to do under pressure. That is all I need. We take that instruction, we translate it into the subconscious language of images and emotion, we balance it, and then you go and practice.
I have been doing this kind of work for years, first using hypnotherapy, supporting clients in improving their confidence in football, overcoming fear of swimming, and accelerating learning across a wide range of sports and skills. PSYCH-K® allows me to do the same work faster, more directly, and with more lasting results, because it speaks to the subconscious without the extended trance process that hypnotherapy requires.
The difference in what I offer now, compared to my earlier work, is threefold:
Faster: PSYCH-K® reaches the subconscious in minutes. A balance takes just a few minutes to complete, and the results can show up in the very next practice session.
Broader: I now understand from my own experience how nutrition and cellular health interact with mindset and learning. A well-nourished body receives new programming more readily. A depleted, exhausted body resists change. This is not theory - I lived it. And I can now support both dimensions together.
More complete: I can offer not just the mental game coaching, but also guidance on the nutritional support that helps your body perform and recover at its best. Body, mind and soul. Nutrition, PSYCH-K® and wellbeing - on a physical and psychological level simultaneously.
This is truly integrated work. And it is the most exciting thing I have offered in my professional life.
My golf mental game coaching sessions can be conducted online, which means I can work with golfers anywhere in the world. If you are local to Forest Row in East Sussex, in-person sessions can also be arranged.
And while I have focused on golf throughout this trilogy, everything I have described applies equally to any sport, any physical skill, any area where the gap between knowing and doing is holding you back. Football, swimming, tennis, running, cycling, even music or learning an instrument - if your coach or teacher has told you something that your body has not yet managed to implement, we can work on it. The principles are universal. The subconscious doesn't care which sport or instrument you play. It just needs to be spoken to in the right language.
And in closing, a note on the high-quality nutritional supplements.
I want to be transparent about something, because I believe you deserve honesty.
I am an independent partner of the company behind these products, which means that when you purchase products through my referral, I earn a commission. I am telling you this directly because I think hiding it would be odd, and because it is actually one of the things I find genuinely interesting about the way this model works.
The company operates through referral marketing. This means that anyone who tries and loves the products has the option - not the obligation(!) - to share them with others and earn an income doing so. There are no required sign-ups, no pressure to recruit, and no strings attached to simply being a customer. You can buy products, enjoy them, and never tell a single person about them for as long as you like. Many people do exactly that, they are happy customers who simply benefit from the products. The income opportunity is there if you want it. If you don't, that is entirely your choice, and there is no difference in how you are treated as a customer.
I love how James Ellington always mentions the concept to the young athletes he coaches, because life for a young aspiring athlete is hard and expensive, and resources are not easy to come by next to a busy training schedule. By recommending the products that athletes use themselves during training and in competition, they can earn an income to support their life and career early on, which I think is amazing.
I share all this because I think it is worth knowing. If the products change your life the way they changed mine, you may one day find yourself wanting to share them, and the option to earn from that sharing is open to you. But there is absolutely no obligation. The products stand entirely on their own.
If you want to explore the full range, get in touch with me directly and I will point you in the right direction.
The most important thing I want to leave you with is this:
Everything I have described in this trilogy, the cellular awakening, the mental game transformation, the rapid skill development, is not special to me. I am not a naturally gifted athlete. I came to golf seriously at the age of fifty-four, after a cancer diagnosis, in the middle of rebuilding my business, on a budget of £3 a day for a bucket of balls.
And in a few months, I am hitting the ball further and more consistently than I ever imagined I would at this stage. I wake up every morning wanting to get to the driving range. I have goals for the first time in my life. I feel, physically and mentally, more alive than I have ever felt.
This is available to you. Whatever your starting point. Whatever your age. Whatever limiting beliefs have been telling you that you are not capable of more.
There is actually a fourth door that I haven't mentioned yet. Alongside the supplements and the mindset work, I have also been quietly building a side income through the very products that started this whole transformation. It fits around everything I already do, it costs nothing to start, and when my team members do well, I do well too. That is the part that truly excites me, because it means that the more people I help to feel this alive, the more we all benefit together. If that sounds interesting to you, that is a conversation I would love to have.
All four doors are open, the nutritional one, the mental game one, the one that combines both into something greater than either alone, and the one that lets you build something meaningful on the side.
If you are curious about any of it, please reach out. There is no pressure and no obligation. Just an open conversation, and a genuine desire to help you discover what is possible.
Love and light, Tanya 🤗🏌️♀️⛳️
